Product description:
Clip Flow is a flowable, light-curing material for temporary fillings, sealings and treatments. Thanks to its elastic consistency, the material is easily removable, also in case of undercuts. Therefore, post- treatment of the cavity is not necessary.
Indications:
Temporary inlay and onlay treatments of the cavity
Sealing of openings for implant screws
Relining material for temporary crowns and bridges
Block-out material for retentive areas in the dental arch,
e.g. before taking impressions
Covering of the gingival margin
Fixing of resin matrix during filling placement
– Temporary filling of cavities and sealing of root canal orifices
Contraindications:
Clip Flow contains methacrylate and BHT. Clip Flow should therefore not be used in patients with a known hypersensitivity (allergy) to these ingredients.
Patient target group:
Clip Flow is suitable for use in all patients without any age or gender restrictions.
Performance features:
The product’s performance features satisfy the requirements of the intended use and the relevant product standards.
User:
Clip Flow should only be used by a professionally trained dental practitioner.
Use:
Preparation:
If necessary, carry out preparation, lining and impression. Rinse and dry the cavity before application of Clip Flow.
Application:
Apply Clip Flow directly from the NDT ® syringe using the respective cannula (type 46). In order to ensure the functioning of the non-dripping syringe do not pull back the plunger during or after use.
If necessary, spread Clip Flow with an adequate instrument (e.g. probe). Light-cure with a polymerisation light (minimum 500 mW/cm²) a film thickness up to 1 mm for 10 s, (e.g. in case of covering the gingival margin), a thickness up to 5 mm for 20 s and more than 5 mm for 40 s. Hold the light emission tip of the device as close as possible to the
surface of the filling. Otherwise, the curing depth may be reduced.
Finishing:
Excess material can be removed with a scalpel or round bur. Silicone points are suitable for finishing.
Removal of the temporary filling:
Insert an appropriate instrument (e.g. probe or curette) sideways into the temporary filling and extract Clip Flow from the cavity.
Warnings, precautionary measures:
Adhesion to dental resins or linings based on (meth)acrylate may occur. In such cases apply a suitable insulating agent (e.g. glycerine, vaseline).
In case of eye contact, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
The attached application tip is intended for single use only. Remove it after use and seal the syringe again tightly with its original cap. The use of a protective barrier is recommended to protect the syringe against contamination with bodily fluids, dirt from hands or oral tissue.
Phenolic substances, especially preparations containing eugenol or thymol, inhibit the curing of Clip Flow. Therefore, do not use zinc oxide eugenol cements or other eugenol-containing substances in combination with Clip Flow.
Our information and/or advice do not relieve you of the obligation of checking that the products supplied by us are suitable for their intended purpose.
Storage instructions and application method:
Storage at 4°C-23°C. Seal the syringes immediately after removing the material in order to avoid exposure to light and subsequent polymerisation.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Disposal:
Dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations.
Reporting obligation:
Serious events such as death, temporary or permanent serious deterioration of a patient’s, user’s or other person’s health condition and a serious risk to public health that arise or could have arisen in association with the use of Clip Flow must be reported to VOCO GmbH
and the responsible authority.
