Metophan Cough Syrup contains Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, a cough suppressant.
Metophan is formulated for the effective relief of dry, unproductive, irritating cough associated with common colds, flu and upper respiratory tract infection.
Each 5ml of Metophan contains active Ingredient Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide USP 15mg
Directions
Children 2 – 5 years : Take half 5ml spoonful (2.5mL) every 6-8 hours.
6 – 12 years : Take one 5ml spoonful every 6-8 hours.
Adults and children above 12 years: Take one to two 5ml spoonfuls (5mL to 10mL) every 6-8 hours.
Indications
Suppression of cough associated with common cold, influenza, tracheitis, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, whooping cough and measles.
Precautions
Due to the extensive hepatic metabolism of dextromethorphan, caution should be exercised in the presence of hepatic impairment or any other liver disease.
Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store at or below 30 degree C.
