ICM Pharma HEXANOL is a skin disinfectant containing Chlorhexidine 2% and Isopropyl Alcohol 70%. It is used to disinfect the skin prior to invasive procedures, for example, before placement of intravascular catheters and during catheter site care.
Directions
Use undiluted for the disinfection of unbroken skin. Allow to dry before electrocautery procedures.
For external use only.
Indications
Disinfection of skin prior to invasive procedures, e.g. before placement of intravascular catheters and during catheter site care.
Precautions
Avoid contact with mucous membranes, eyes, brain, meninges, middle ear, and urethra.
Do not use on open skin wounds, broken or damaged skin or for urethral-, spinal- and corneal-related procedures.
Do not use in neonates
Storage
Store in a cool place.
Keep out of reach of children.
Highly flammable.
Keep tightly closed when not in use.
Discard 1 week after first opening.
