Cofen 50 is used for loosening of phlegm and relief of wet cough. It contains Guaifenesin, which helps to thin out and loosen the phlegm or mucous accumulated in the respiratory tract, so that secretions can be coughed out more easily.

Directions
Children 2-5 years : take one teaspoon (5mL) 4 times daily.
6-12 years : take one to two teaspoons (5mL to 10mL) 4 times daily.
Adults : take two to three teaspoons (10mL to 15mL) 3 times daily.
Indications
Has an expectorant action to help loosen phlegm and to thin bronchial secretion to facilitate their removal.
For the relief of congestive cough associated with the common cold, bronchitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, pharyngitis, influenza and measles
Precautions
Guaifenesin is contraindicated during the diagnostic measurement of urinary 5 hydroxy-indoloacetic acid.
Keep out of reach of children.
